
Lake Toya
Caldera lake with nightly fireworks, geopark, and active volcano views.
A near-perfect circular caldera 10 km across, with steaming Mt. Usu and the brand-new Showa-Shinzan rising on its southern shore. Fireworks light up the lake every night, April–October, from lakeside ryokan balconies.
