Sapporo to Niseko Transfer

Two and a half hours separate a Sapporo hotel lobby from first tracks in Hirafu — in good weather. Our drivers make this run daily through the ski season, choose between the Nakayama Pass and the longer coastal route based on that morning's conditions, and load skis and boards properly so nothing shifts on the mountain road.

What you get

Route chosen on the day

The Nakayama Pass is faster but closes in heavy snow. Drivers check road cameras before departure and switch to the Yoichi coastal road when the pass is unsafe.

Ski and board loading

Hiace Grand Cabin for groups travelling with hard cases and boards; skis are secured, not stacked on laps. Tell us the count when booking.

Village-level drop-off

Hirafu, Niseko Village, Annupuri, Hanazono and the Kutchan side — we deliver to the chalet or hotel entrance, including narrow snowed-in access lanes.

Return leg planned too

Book the return to Sapporo or straight to New Chitose. On departure day we build in extra time so a storm does not cost you a flight.

Good to know

  • Typical door-to-door time is 2h30 via the pass, 3h to 3h30 via the coast or in heavy snow.
  • A rest stop at Nakayama Pass or Michi-no-Eki Niseko View Plaza can be added at no extra charge.
  • January and February weekends are the busiest transfer dates of the year in Hokkaido.
  • Outside winter the same route takes about two hours and pairs well with a Lake Toya or Otaru stop.

Frequently asked questions

Is a private transfer better than the resort bus?
The bus is cheaper and fine for light travellers on its fixed timetable. A private vehicle leaves when you want, drops at your chalet door and does not require dragging ski bags through a transfer point.
What happens if the pass closes?
The driver reroutes via the coast. The fare stays as quoted; we do not add a surcharge for a weather-driven detour.
Can we go straight from the airport to Niseko instead?
Yes, that is our most requested winter route — around three hours from New Chitose. Book it as an airport transfer and note Niseko as the destination.
Do you carry child seats for the mountain road?
Yes, infant and booster seats are available free of charge on every route. Please give us the children's ages so we fit the right type.
