Skiing

Niseko's JAN powder is one of the world's three great ski experiences. Furano holds the dry inland snow, Rusutsu carves through trees, Kiroro is the family choice, Tomamu rewards intermediate skiers, and Asahidake is the locals' secret.

Why it's unique in Hokkaido

Hokkaido's snow is dry and abundant — 14–16 metres a season in Niseko — driven by Siberian wind crossing the warm Sea of Japan.
